ABOUT THE FOOD BUS MISSION
The SBC Food Bus Mission is a mission project to feed those in need in our community while taking the gospel to them. Proverbs 19:17 says, “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.” Throughout the week, our church office regularly has people stopping in, asking for food and help for their family. While we do provide help in this way, we believe it would be an even more powerful statement about the love of Jesus for us to collect food and take it to those in need, instead of them only coming to us! This is the heart of the food bus mission.
HOW WE ARE COLLECTING
Throughout the months of February and March, we will be collecting monetary donations to build a specific box of supplies for each family. Each box costs $30. Each box will consist of unperishable pantry staples, along with materials about our church and the gospel. Our church goal is to collect enough money to pack and deliver 100 boxes to those in need. These boxes will be loaded up on our church buses and taken to various parts of town to give to those in need, hence the name of the mission.

HOW TO VOLUNTEER
This mission not only needs you to donate monetarily, but we also need people in our church to volunteer in preparing boxes, packing boxes, and delivering boxes. Fill out the form below to volunteer. While volunteer spots are limited, there will be something to help with regardless of how much or little exposure to others that you’d like to have during this time.
