GJ Farmer has served as Pastor since July, 2018. After graduating from Southwestern High School in Somerset, KY, he went on to graduate from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College (B.A.) and Dallas Baptist University (M.A.). He is currently completing his Master of Divinity at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served in churches in Kentucky and South Carolina with proven track records of growth and high impact in their communities.
GJ has served on several organizational boards, including being the current Vice President of Greg Farmer Evangelistic Ministries, a ministry based in Somerset, KY, that serves various local evangelistic outreaches. He also serves on the Committee on Public Affairs for the Kentucky Baptist Convention. He has taught classes on multiple levels, including various conferences and seminars, and has served as an adjunct professor at Clear Creek Baptist Bible College.
He is married to the love of his life, Hillary, and they have 3 children- Jack, Mackenzie, and Jocie.
He enjoys reading, spending time with his family, watching baseball and basketball, and coaching Little League baseball.

Brian and his family came to Scottsville Baptist Church in 2002. Brian was raised in church and accepted Christs as his Savior at the age of nine.
Brian is a 2002 graduate from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College with a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry. He also has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Campbellsville University and is a licensed LMFTA Marriage and Family Therapist.
Brian and his wife Christie have two daughters – Brittany and Brie. They also have a grandson, named Sioux Jackson Clark.
Ken Goforth is a native of Covington, Tennessee and a graduate of Union University, Jackson, Tennessee, and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He is married to the former Pam Agee of Nashville, Tennessee. They have one daughter, Amy Assad, who lives in Memphis, Tennessee, with her husband Mike, and their two sons, Ethan and Aaron.
Ken served from 1975 until 2014 as Minister of Music and, after retirement from full-time ministry, now serves the church as part-time Minister of Senior Adults and Administration. The Senior Adult ministry includes a monthly meeting or day trip and one-week long charter trip during the year. It also involves a grief ministry team and homebound/shut-in visitation.
Ken Vinson began serving as our Minister of Music June 1, 2014. Ken and his family have been residents of Scottsville and members of Scottsville Baptist Church for many years.
He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, Kentucky, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. Ken has served churches in Kentucky and Alabama, in full-time and bi-vocational positions.
Ken and his wife Anne have three daughters. Sarah and her husband Nuno Norberto live in Sebring, Florida with their two sons, Luca and Taylor. They are expecting their third child in November. Katherine and her husband Corey live in Scottsville with their three sons, Paxton, Parker, and Price. Hannah is a sophomore at Allen County-Scottsville High School and is active in the youth ministry at Scottsville Baptist.
The music ministry of our church provides opportunities for service to 3 year olds through adults. This ministry includes six choirs, three handbell choirs, and an instrumental ensemble. Ken’s goals are to help everyone understand the incredible impact that music has on our times of worship and to provide folks with God-given talent the opportunity to use that talent to glorify our Savior.
Keri Hughes began serving with Scottsville Baptist Church in March 2017. While her main job is taking care of the church finances, she also publishes the newsletter and manages the church’s membership database.
After graduating high school in 2014, Keri spent a year serving with Gospel for Asia’s School of Discipleship in Will’s Point, Texas. She returned home in 2015, then worked for Habegger’s Amish Market and as a CNA/Unit Clerk for Med Center Health before joining our team.
Keri and her husband Ethan were married in April 2018, and live in Allen County, Kentucky. She enjoys working with him on their family farm, as well as riding horses, hiking, running.
Ann Lane has served as our Office Assistant since 2006. Her duties include working with the Administrative Staff in managing the daily routines, composing the bulletin and keeping track of the contributions.
She was saved at the age of nine at the First United Methodist Church and been a member of the Scottsville Baptist Church since 1961. Ann retired after 24 years working as a secretary for General Electric Hermetic Motors.
She has four children: Kathy Haile, David Erwin, and twins Jane Yokley and Jan Clark. They have blessed her with six grandchildren; Kellie, Emily, Michael, Hilary, Holly and Hannah and nine great-grandchildren; Karoline, Katie, Karson, Katherine, Hadley, Jack, Rowan and twins Lennox and Palmer.
In addition to her work at Scottsville Baptist she likes to spend time with her dog Boo, knit, crochet, read and travel.
